What is Delegation?

Delegation is a service designed to simplify the management of Xally nodes. By opting for Delegation, you can assign the operation of your node to Xally, freeing you from the day-to-day tasks of running it on your own client.

  • Continuous Operation: Ensure your node is operational 24/7 without any interruptions.
  • Cost Efficiency: Reduce the costs associated with independent node operation.

How Does Delegation Work?

When you choose to delegate, Xally takes over the operation of your node. Here’s what happens:

  • Transition: Your node ceases operation on your client and transitions to being managed by Xally.
  • Fee Structure: A nominal fee of 0.1% of the minted gXally generated from the delegation is charged. This fee covers the infrastructure and management costs incurred by Xally.

How to Initiate Delegation

  1. Visit the Delegation page: Delegate to Xally
  2. Click “Delegate Xally” and authenticate by signing the required message.
  3. Once confirmed, Xally will begin managing your node operations.

You can revoke your delegation at any time by selecting “Cancel” on the Delegation page. Upon cancellation, node operations cease, and minting of gXally pauses until you decide to either manually restart your node or redelegate to Xally.

Managing Your Delegated Nodes

The Delegation dashboard offers comprehensive insights into your node’s performance and earnings:

  • Node Status: Displays the number of active nodes.
  • Earnings: Shows your net gXally earnings after deducting the delegation fee, updated hourly.
  • Delegation Fee: Lists the total fees incurred from using the delegation service.

Detailed metrics per node include:

  • Status: Current operation status.
  • Running Time: Total active duration.
  • Earnings: Net gXally earned after fees.

This new feature aims to streamline node operation, making it more accessible and less burdensome for users who wish to support the Xally network without the need for continuous personal oversight. Whether you’re tech-savvy or new to blockchain, Xally’s Delegation feature ensures that your contributions to the network are efficient and hassle-free.
